What Photoshop skills have your learned doing your photo assignments?  Explain.

I haven't really learned any new photoshop skills since I have been doing this assignment, but I have been having fun not doing flash. I like photoshop a lot better. 

What new Flash skills did you learn?  I learned how to make stuff fade, and i also learned how to make pictures "explode" and other things like that.

Rate the quality of your Flash video for competition from 1-10. I rate my flash about an 8 right now.

 Explain why you rated it that. Because it could be longer thats pretty much the only thing wrong its almost 430 frames and still only has like 36 seconds.

 How can you improve it? I drew everything and I'm not very good at drawing it could be longer but I already said that and I'm working on making it longer it just takes forever to make because i forget hot to do stuff on flash easily and have to constantly play with it to make something right.

 Explain to me what you have learned this 9 weeks. I have learned to use flash,imovie,illustrator,and photoshop. Of of all of these i like photoshop the most. I think all of them are fun, but photoshop can do more of what i want than the others.  Explain to me what you would like to learn next 9 weeks. I'd like to learn more photoshop stuff, we haven't done too much with those, and i really like what we have done with it so far.

Illustrator

Who wold use Illustrator and why?

I think people designing book covers or cards might use Illustrator, because they are designing something and it would help them put their ideas on the screen.

What did you learn about Illustrator? 

I learned a lot of the functions and how to make images for a card.

Do you like using it?

It's not really in my top 10 things i like to do, but it is better than flash lol i was horrible at that.

Illustrator is kind of hard to use so i got frustrated a lot, thats the only reason, but when i 

figured out how to use it better i liked it a little more.

What was your favorite project this week and why?

My favorite project this week was the cards, because it was fun and creative, it was just pretty 

neat to see what i could come up with.

What Photoshop skills did you learn this week? 

I have learned contrast to make my skin darker or lighter, i have also learned how to switch peoples faces

i think that one is very cool. I have also learned how to make a regular picture look like you sketched it 

by tracing the background with the pencil tool, and hiding the background after that.

Flash/ Youtube Competitions

I really never understood flash at all really but i've learned a bunch like how to move stuff, and tilt stuff on there this week. I still kind of like photoshop better, but i'm getting a little more used to flash it's about time.  

My youtube questions was: Why does school cooks and janitors make a higher salary than teachers, because teachers have to put up with students, and teach us the things we need to know. I don't believe it is fair I believe teachers do more than the cooks and the janitors combined they make this society what it is and they deserve a higher pay.

What is shape tweening?

Its where you change a shape to a different shape on flash.

What is motion tweening?  

Its where you move a selection somewhere else on flash.

What are keyframes?  

You use key frames to make motion with the motion tweening like the ball bouncing.

Why are these things important?  

They are all thing you need to learn on flash to make an animation or movie.

How do you feel about using Flash?

I can't really understand it so much right now, but I'm sure i will get used to it and learn how to use it.

What new programs did you learn to use?

I have learned to use imovie and garageband. I learned how to make a PSA using imovie and i just found pictures put them on made music on garage band put it on and made a PSA. I gained a lot of information from researching teen abortion. Teen abortion is the number one cause of death in the united states. Out of 3 million unintended pregnancies, 1 million of them are teenagers. Also 4 in to teen pregnancy will end in abortion. And half of 49% of all unintended pregnancy are terminated by abortion. I never knew about this stuff until i researched it for the PSA i really enjoyed this, i'm totally against abortion and this was really great to get to do C:

Learning Styles

My #1 learning style is musical, which i a lot like me it says "Musical: You like the rhythm and sound of language. You like poems, songs, and jingles. You enjoy humming or singing along with music. You probably remember things well when they are associated with music or rhythm. Try to incorporate sounds into your lessons, such as using a familiar tune, song, or rap beat to teach spelling rules, or to remember words in a series for a test. Here are some other ways to use your musical intelligence." Which is very right about me.

My #2 learning style is social, it says "Social: You like to develop ideas and learn from other people. You like to talk. You have good social skills. Effective techniques of enhancing your learning using your social intelligence include taking part in group discussions or discussing a topic one-to-one with another person. Find ways to build reading and writing exercises into your group activities." I am a very social perosn, i love to talk , i'm very good with people, i get along with most people. I'm very out going and have a great personality!(at least i tihnk i do c: lol)

My #3 and last one was self, this one states that "Self: You have a very good sense of self. You like to spend time by yourself and think things over. You will often take in information from another person, mull it over by yourself, and come back to that person later to discuss it. You like working on projects on your own. You often prefer to learn by trial and error. Effective techniques to enhance your learning include keeping a journal and giving yourself time to reflect on new ideas and information." Which is also true i like to be by myself sometimes, even though i am a very sociable perosn. I like to just kick it in my room put on some headphones, dance sing, and just rock along with the beat, or just think quietly to myself, either way alone time in my life is crucial c:!!!!

Internet / Photoshop cs3

What is appropriate and inappropriate internet use?

Appropriate internet use is when you are getting information on something you need for school or work, or just some thing you want to research. Also, getting e-mails from friends and

talking to family members online. Appropriate internet use can also be using programs to help

you out for school, or work. Inappropriate use of the internet is using myspace or other 

websites like that to get blackmail, by "acting" like your someone else, or bullying people.

Any type of harassment is inappropriate use of the inter net. Adult websites would be another 

inappropriate internet usage, there are many other appropriate and inappropriate uses

of the internet these are just a few bigger problems people come into contact with.

What have you learned in photoshop so far?

Well, i have used photoshop prior to this class a little so i do know how to do some

things with text and the tools already when we got into this class, but i have been

learning to perfect my editing skills by taking this class, i have learned stuff like feathering, 

cropping, tools i didn't know how to use, such as the blur tool, and the clone tool. I think

this class is very helpful to all people interested in graphic designs like i am. Photoshop

has by far been my favorite part of this class so far, i think it is neat to learn how to change 

pictures appearance. 

Digital Imaging

Do you have a digital camera and what kind of photos do you take with it?

        Yes, i do have a digital camera , and i take many photos. I take some of my 

friends and me, some of my family and me, and some of my animals, i also

sometimes take pictures of scenery i love to take pictures.

What is your favorite photo you have ever taken and why?

My favorite picture i have ever taken is probably of me for myspace,

i  take tons of them so i can't really pick between them, but the

reason i like them the best is because it shows off your personality

and traits and its always fun to show people who you really are.

Do you think photos are important to the web and print media? Why or Why not?

Yes, i do think its important, because people usually stop if they see an

interesting picture in the paper, or in a magazine or something.

Pictures often catch peoples eye and make them want to read the story written about it.
